Prof Ramchandra Chondekar passes away
Aurangabad, Jan 3:
Prof Ramchandra Kamajiappa Chondekar, a retired Economics Department head of Government College of Arts and Science and a resident of Nandanvan Colony, passed away on Sunday morning.
He was 81 and leaves behind wife, four daughters, one son, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law and grandchildren.
Prof Ramchandra, who was known for his amiable nature, was a prominent economics professor. He was hailing from Aundha Nagnath (Hingoli) and used to help students, specially from rural areas. His many students are working on top posts.
Last rites were performed on him in Veershaiv Smashanbhumi, Kranti Chowk.
He was the father of Dr Nalini Chondekar (Professor, Government College of Education), Pragati Chondekar (Cidco Administrator), Sharda Chondkar (Officer, Land Acquisition Authority), Dr Vandana Chondekar and Vivek Chondekar.
Prof Ramchandra was the father-in-law of Balaji Muley (Lokmat), Dr Gajanan Duttwade, adv Santosh Mene and Nagnath Shankarwar (senior engineer in Mahaveetran Company).
