Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The administration of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) has asked the colleges to celebrate Right to Services Day on April 28.

Dr Babasaheb Dole, Director, Board of Examinations and Evaluation (BoEE) of Bamu, issued a letter to the college principals on Friday.

It was stated in the letter that April 28, 2026, marks ten years of implementation of the Maharashtra Right to Public Services Act, 2015, and the day is to be observed as "Service Rights Day.

Special initiatives are to be undertaken to raise public awareness of the Act, the State Service Rights Commission, and the online services available through the Aaple Sarkar Portal. All Principals will have to submit a compliance report to the university by May 5, 2026.

Initiatives like displaying QR codes to provide information and fees of Government Departments and awareness should be created among students, women and other members of society about the act,which came into force on this date to ensure time-bound delivery of public services.
