Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The Public Works Department’s World Bank division has begun repair work on the Jalna Road stretch from the airport via Chikalthana up to Cambridge Chowk. Engineer Priya Pujari said the work has been taken up as the road falls under the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar–Jalna BOT package.

The municipal corporation had carried out a road-widening drive in June–July 2025. However, due to the monsoon, repair work could not be undertaken at that time. The department has now started patchwork and restoration.

Potholes had developed at several points beyond the airport, while stretches near the Chikalthana junction and the civil hospital area were damaged. Additionally, dividers that had sunk to road level are being raised. The repair work is expected to continue for about a week, officials said.
