Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Incidents of chain-snatching have resurfaced in the Waluj Cidco Mahanagar area, with a woman robbed of her gold chain on Saturday night. A case has been registered at the MIDC Waluj police station.

According to police, Surekha Jagtap (56,Gurudakshina Apartment, Cidco Mahanagar-1, Waluj) was in the locality around 8.41 pm when two unidentified men suddenly approached her and snatched the gold chain from her neck before fleeing the scene. The stolen ornament, weighing approximately 2.25 tolas, is valued at over Rs 1.47 lakhs. Further investigation is being carried out by police sub-inspector Sanjay Jagtap.
