Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Hundreds of devotees thronged the Khandoba Temple from early morning on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya to seek the blessings of Lord Khandoba. The idol was beautifully decorated with flowers, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The temple resonated with chants of “Yelkot Yelkot… Jai Malhar,” along with the traditional sprinkling of turmeric (bhandara), creating a deeply devotional environment. Long queues of devotees extended up to the sabhamandap as people waited patiently for darshan inside the sanctum. Being a Sunday, a large number of families visited the temple together.

Devotees were also seen participating in traditional rituals in the temple premises. The temple trust organises a weekly bhandara (community meal) every Sunday for visiting devotees. On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, food donation (annadan) was arranged for devotees by Vinay Kulkarni.

As Akshaya Tritiya is considered one of the most auspicious muhurats, it holds special religious significance. Additionally, with the ongoing Chaitra month, many devotees visited the temple to seek blessings of their family deity, resulting in a large turnout.
