Samruddhi Land Case: MP Bhumre's team seen in SDO office with files
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The back office team of MP Sandipan Bhumre was seen at the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) office on Thursday after controversy over land compensation erupted.
It may be noted that the Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi Highway passes through Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Jalna districts for 112 kilometres. The government paid approximately Rs 1,600 crore in compensation for land acquisition in 61 villages of the district.
The first phase of the Samruddhi Highway was inaugurated on December 11, 2022. Compensation for some disputed gat numbers is still held in court.
A political cold war has erupted between leaders of Shinde Sena and Uddhav Sena over the land acquisition at Jogwada/Jatwada, gift deeds (Hibanamaa), ownership rights, and the figure of Rs 1,150 crore.
Against this backdrop, the back office team of MP Sandipan Bhumre with large files of documents, was seen at the SDO office on Thursday.

What is the actual situation?
Meanwhile, a woman named Lata Waghmare, in a memorandum submitted to the administration, cited an example of a gift deed and demanded similar compensation from the revenue administration. This has led to leaders of two political parties slinging mud at each other.
In her memorandum, it was stated that three acres of land received by Javed Shaikh (driver of MP) through a gift deed is worth Rs 150 crore.
However, the gat number mentioned by the woman does not exist. In Jogwada, there are 174 gat numbers, and in Jatwada, there are 89. After the consolidation of gat numbers, the old numbers ceased to exist.
“There was a dispute in some 7/12 of the land which was acquired for Samruddhi. Its compensation is in court currently,” said Venkat Rathod, Sub-Divisional Officer.
