Aurangabad, Nov 13:

Markets in the industrial area are buzzing with customers as people are out of the house for Diwali shopping. Hence the rural economy is slowly recovering from the lockdown crisis.

With bonus and salary in hand, there is an atmosphere of joy among the industrial workers in Waluj. Every year on Diwali, there is a huge financial turnover in the markets. However, workers were sceptical about whether they would get a bonus this year. As per the rules, most of the companies in the industrial sector have distributed bonus to the workers. There is an atmosphere of excitement among the traders as markets are full of Diwali shoppers. Consumers are flocking to the market to buy new clothes, electronic items, firecrackers, jewellery and vehicles. While women indulged in buying the idols of Ganesh-Lakshmi and utensils, men were witnessed surveying the electrical goods market. Markets in Bajajnagar, Pandharpur, Ranjangaon and Waluj are seeing huge rush. However, the rush for shopping has disrupted traffic. Many businesses have encroached the parking spots, causing customers to park their vehicles on the road and obstructing traffic. The residents are urging the traffic branch officials to streamline the traffic.
