Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

An 18-year-old student was allegedly stabbed during a dispute over college election campaigning on Jalna Road on Friday evening. Based on a complaint, the MIDC Cidco police registered a case on March 7 against six accused Krishna Mankape, Vinitsingh Rajput, Krishna Mane, Sanskar Waghmare, Yash Rajput, and Vishal Shelke.

Complainant Omkar Kshirsagar of Chikalthana stated he was campaigning for BBA student Ayush Sawant when the accused allegedly confronted them near Naivedya Hotel over rival candidates in the poll. The argument escalated, and Vinitsingh allegedly stabbed Kshirsagar while the others assaulted him. Friends rushed him to a private hospital. A video of the incident later went viral on social media.
