Students Strength Audit Completed in 4,500 Schools of District
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The final phase of student strength verification of schools across the State concluded on Wednesday. The Education Department claims that audit of 4,508 schools in the district has been completed, however, the online registration process continued until late in the evening.
The process began on April 11 and was initially planned to be completed in three days, April 11, 15, and 22. It was later extended and finally completed over five days, April 11, 15, 20, 21, and 22.
The district has over 4,500 schools, including 2,084 primary schools under the Zilla Parishad, with around 8.50 lakh students enrolled.
For the final phase on Wednesday, 130 teams comprising education officers and other staff were deployed to inspect schools and junior colleges across the city, recording student strength figures.
After verification, teams were required to immediately register the data online on the Saral Student Portal. However, since the process could not be completed on the portal in time, many teams were still finishing the registration until late evening.
