Aurangabad, July 10:
Alok Kumar, member (Administration) in National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), directed Arvind Kale, project director, to submit a DPR of the four-laning of Aurangabad-Shirdi road, technical survey of the flyover from Cidco Bus Stand Chowk to Cambridge School and report of alternative road including Autram tunnel.
MP Imtiyaz Jaleel, Alok Kumar and Nagpur regional officer Rajiv Agarwal met at Chikalthana Airport on Friday evening. MP Jaleel discussed in details about the four-laning of the Aurangabad-Shirdi road, speeding up the construction of a complete flyover from Cidco Bus Stand Chowk to Cambridge School, providing other alternative roads on the Solapur-Dhule National Highway, including the tunnel at Autram Ghat in Kannad.
Kumar instructed Kale to hold a joint meeting with the divisional commissioner, district collector, commissioner of police and municipal commissioner to conduct a technical survey and submit an immediate report for the construction of a flyover from Cidco Chowk to Cambridge School from the point of view of city and industrial area. He was also instructed to submit an immediate report on other alternative routes for transportation without causing much damage to flora and fauna. MP Jaleel also pointed out that the Shendra - Bidkin connectivity is also important. This will connect the two industrial phases of the DMIC.
Work of flyover at Amarpreet Chowk
If a flyover is built in front of Chikalthana airport, it will not be possible to build a complete flyover from Cidco Chowk (Lemon Tree Hotel) to Cambridge school in future. If a complete flyover is built, it will be useful for the development of the DMIC five-star industrial estate at Shendra as well as for Auric City.
