Aurangabad, Feb 9:

Pundliknagar Police collected spot panchanama, footage of close circuit TV cameras, mobile tower location of victim and accused and recorded statements of eight witnesses in 24 hours into eve-teasing and molestation case.

They arrested the accused and submitted chargesheet in the court.

According to details, a youth from Shivajinagar chased a girl at 6 pm on February 7 and molested her. The girl lodged a complaint with police.

Police registered a case against the accused and his two minor accomplices.

Police launched a probe after the case registration. They collected all evidence in just 24 hours and submitted chargesheet in the court.

A witness had recorded arguments between the victim and the accused on mobile. This evidence, too, was collected. Police seized the two-wheeler used by the accused to chase the victim.

PSI Vitthal Ghodke completed the probe while constables Ramesh Sangle and Shivaji Gaikwad assisted him. The accused was produced in the court this morning.

He was granted conditional bail on a personal surety bond. Police recorded the statement of the victim today so that she need not visit the court frequently.
