Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The maximum temperature in the city and surrounding areas reached 41 degrees on Wednesday. The intense heat was felt from 11 am to 5 pm. After 5.30 pm, cloudy conditions brought some relief. The minimum temperature was recorded at 26.5 degrees Celsius.

Due to the rise in minimum temperature, humidity levels in the air were higher, which in turn increased the feeling of discomfort. Temperatures had dropped by a few degrees on two days last week, but the heat persisted nonetheless.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of unseasonal rainfall in the district until April 23. Temperatures are fluctuating at present. Out of the last nine days, the maximum temperature crossed the 41-degree mark on seven days.
