Aurangabad, March 27:

A hardcore thief stole seven motorcycles and a loading rickshaw in just two months after released from the prison. The Cidco police have arrested the thief Shaikh Anees Shaikh Yousuf (30, Baijipura).

Police said, Rauf Shabbir Shaikh, a resident of Murumkheda came to the New Mondha area with his loading rickshaw on March 23 at around 4 am. His rickshaw was stolen from there and a case was registered at the Cidco police station in this regard.

Under the guidance of DCP, Deepak Girhe, ACP Shashikant Bhujbal and PI Ashok Giri, police team including PSI Balasaheb Aher, constable Vijayanand Gawali, Santosh Mudiraj, Irfan Khand started the investigation and arrested suspect Anees. During interrogation, he confessed that he had stolen the rickshaw and seven motorcycles from Jadhavwadi, Juna Mondha, Shendra MIDC and other places. He hide all the vehicles at different places and the police have seized all the vehicles.

Cidco police had arrested Anees last year in a bike theft case and seized 12 bikes from him. He was in the jail for around eight months since then but he again started motorcycle thefts after coming from the jail, informed PI Giri.
