Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Two persons were arrested by the crime branch after allegedly snatching a bag and mobile phone from a complainant near Mukundwadi railway station on Saturday around 8 pm.

Police said complainant Rahul Chougule informed the patrolling team that two unidentified persons had snatched his belongings and fled towards the railway station. Acting on the alert, the team spotted the suspects and caught one of them, identified as Abhishek alias Bhaiyya Bhumkar (21). During interrogation, he confessed to the crime along with his accomplice Somnath alias Sonu Narode (23). With the help of local police, Narode was also traced and arrested. Police said he was already absconding in a 2024 theft case.
