The 'Udaan' organisation has arranged a night trek for nearly 50 young individuals living with Type 1 diabetes in the Daulatabad area on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Participants will walk approximately 20 kilometres through the night. The activity aims to provide them with practical experience in managing diabetes during physical exertion including monitoring blood sugar levels, eating at the right time, maintaining proper hydration, and balancing diabetes care with exercise. In addition, Udaan has organised a two-day residential workshop for adolescent girls living with Type 1 diabetes. Participants will receive training on making independent decisions related to food, insulin management, and day-to-day diabetes care while staying away from home.
