Waluj police creating awareness among morning walkers

Aurangabad, Dec 24: In order to prevent incidents of chain snatching and theft, Waluj police are conducting awareness among women and citizens who go out for morning walk.

Most people go out for a walk around dawn. Thieves take advantage of the darkness to rob women of jewellery when they go out for a morning walk, while senior citizens and men are robbed of cash and mobile phones. The police administration has decided to create awareness among morning walkers to prevent incidents of looting. Waluj police station PI Sandeep Gurme has started a police patrol on the main road around dawn to stop the looting. Police officers and staff are raising awareness to keep jewellery, mobiles and other items safe by stopping women and citizens on morning walks. For the last four days, this awareness program is being implemented in the villages within the limits of Waluj. API A B Kankale, Sub-Inspector Laxman Umbre, PSI Sheikh Saleem, Pandurang Shelke, Preeti Ilag, Seema Mule, Rupali Rane, Priyanka Badge are raising awareness among the citizens.
