WCD secretary Ganesh Patil discusses development plan
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
Ganesh Patil, secretary of the Water Conservation Department (WCD), reviewed the functioning of the Maharashtra Water Conservation Corporation (MWCC) on Friday at the Water and Land Management Institute (Walmi) on Paithan Road. He also guided officials on how the department should contribute to the state’s comprehensive development master plan.
According to senior sources, the state government is in the process of preparing a comprehensive five-year development master plan. In this context, secretary Ganesh Patil convened a meeting at Walmi on Friday. The meeting was attended by corporation commissioner Sunil Kushire, superintending engineer A H Parande, executive engineer Narendra Katke, along with other senior officials.
During the meeting, the Secretary reviewed the work of the Corporation. He also provided detailed guidance on which projects and initiatives should be included from the Water Conservation Department in the state’s broader master development plan.
