Those who promised reservations to the OBCs before coming to the power also assured the Dhangar community of the reservations in the first cabinet meeting after gaining the power. Now, what has happened to that promise, the executive president of the Maharashtra State Congress Committee, executive president, Shivajirao Moghe, taunted former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. Moghe started the tour of the Marathwada region yesterday for appointing Marathwada observer. A meeting was held at the Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday afternoon. After the meeting, Moghe interacted with the media. Speaking on the issue of reservation, he questioned that what happened to the promise of giving reservations to the Dhangar community by the previous government. Now, they are saying that they will gain reservation for the OBCs for the local self-governing institutes. Maratha community and the Dhangar community should get the reservations. As per the directives of the court, the Muslim community should be given reservations within six months, he said.Congress will gain strength in the near future. The senior leaders will take the decision whether to fight along with or in alliance, Moghe said. District Congress president Dr Kalyan Kale, former MLC M M Shaikh, Vilasbapu Autade, Kiran Patil Dongaonkar, Dr Jitendra Dehade, Namdev Pawar, Moin Harsulkar, Santosh Bhingare, Iqbalsingh Gill and others were present.
