A man has been booked by Osmanpura police station for allegedly harassing a married woman through repeated messages, shayari, and reels on Instagram in an attempt to force friendship.

According to police, the complainant resides in the Osmanpura area with her husband. In April, a youth identified as Jainoddin, using the Instagram handle “tuba_naaz__zero_one,” allegedly started sending her messages. Though the woman ignored them, he reportedly continued sending shayari and song reels persistently. Police said the accused later began making obscene gestures and harassing the woman through Instagram calls. He allegedly threatened to defame her and kill her husband if she refused to befriend him. After informing her family, the woman approached Osmanpura police station and lodged a complaint with police inspector Sangram Tate. Assistant police inspector Shivaji Chaure is conducting further investigation.
