Aurangabad, March 1: A woman pillion rider was killed on the spot when a pick-up van hit a motorcycle from behind at Dhule-Solapur national highway (NH52), Kannad Bypass near Seva Hotel at Khuldabad on Monday at 3.45 pm. According to the highway police API Suresh Bhale, the pick-up van (MH-20-EL-5589), which was heading towards Aurangabad, hit the motorcycle (MH-20-BF-1585) which was also travelling in the same direction, leading to death of Priyanka Bhagwan Pandule (30), while Bhagwan Shivaji Pandule (both residents of Pimparkhed in Kannad tehsil) was hurt. API Bhale and his team reached the spot and regulated the traffic.The injured person and the body were sent to the Rural Hospital, Kannad in an ambulance.
