A woman was allegedly poisoned after being lured to a meeting and pressured to withdraw a pending family court case. The shocking incident took place near Bharatkatta in Naregaon.

The accused have been identified as Shaikh Moin (Ambad, Jalna), Rais Beg and Najera. According to the complaint filed by Shaista Moin Shaikh (Aziz Colony, Naregaon), she was married to accused Sheikh Moin, but due to disputes, they have been living separately. A case regarding their separation is currently pending in the family court. The three accused called her to Bharatkatta, Naregaon and pressured her to withdraw the case, promising her a formal divorce in return on February 18. They allegedly spiked a cold drink with poison and gave it to her. After consuming the drink, she felt and the accused fled the scene. Following the complaint, the MIDC Cidco police have registered a case and started an investigation.
