Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Various programmes have been organised by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI, Aurangabad Circle) and the Department of Archaeology (DoA), to mark the World Heritage Day, on Saturday.

On the topic – Heritage Sites of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar – the ASI is organising an essay competition at Ellora Caves complex and drawing competition at Bibi ka Maqbara on April 18 morning hours. Heritage walks will also be organised at the above heritage sites.

The DoA has organised ‘Shivgaan’ at Delhi Gate, in the morning and a photo exhibition on Maratha Military Landscapes of India consisting 12 forts of Chhatrapati Shivaji (which) has been organised near Lala Hardaul Samadhi campus (near Sunehri Mahal). These forts have been inscribed on the UNESCO’s world heritage list for 2024-25.

Meanwhile, ASI office and DoA office have appealed to the young participants to participate in the competitions and heritage-lovers to grace the functions in large numbers.
