Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Police have arrested an out-of-state youth who was creating panic in the town by roaming around with a sword in each hand. The incident occurred at around 11 pm on Wednesday near the weighbridge on Purangaon Road.

According to information, Arvind Jitram Kumar (resident of Sonipat, Haryana) was moving around the area with two swords, causing fear among local residents. A team led by police sub-inspector Nagar Goge acted swiftly, laid a trap, and apprehended him. Two swords worth approximately Rs 5,000 were seized from his possession.

Based on a complaint lodged by police constable Amol Kamble, a case was registered at Vaijapur Police Station on Thursday, and further investigation is on.
