Four men brutally assaulted a 21-year-old student at Sai Surya Boys Hostel in Samarthnagar on Friday, demanding the whereabouts of his friend.
The attack occurred around 3 pm when Aryan Sanap, Rishikesh Chalak, Mahesh Padar and Swapnil Shinde confronted Shrikrishna Nanasaheb Kadam, their classmate, over a previous Holi-related altercation. Earlier, a dispute had erupted when Shrikrishna’s friend applied colours, triggering tension with the accused. Although Shrikrishna had intervened and defused the situation, the accused later tracked him down at the hostel. They called him downstairs, demanded his friend’s address, and upon his refusal, launched a violent assault. Kranti Chowk police have registered a case against the four accused.
