ZP doctor sexually abused widow for five years
Aurangabad, Dec 2:
A doctor working in zilla parishad (ZP) allegedly sexually abused a widow for the past five years on the pretext to help her after her husband’s death. The doctor also molested her young daughter.
The widow on Wednesday approached the Kranti Chowk police station to lodge a complaint against the doctor. The police immediately came into action arrested the suspected doctor Dr Pradeep Kashinath Jaibahar (Shriniketan Colony). A case of rape, threatening and molestation has been registered against him.
Kranti Chowk police station’s Senior PI, Dr Ganpat Darade said, 41 years old woman’s husband died six years back. She is living with her children in the city. The suspect, Dr Pradeep is her relative and used to go to the home of the woman.
On the pretext of helping her, Dr Pradeep tried lure her but she did not fell prey to his lure.
On April 14, 2015, the woman’s children had gone to see the rally of the Ambedkar Jayanti. The suspect reached her home and raped her and also threatened her to kill and spread the news in the society, if she tell anyone about it. The woman in panic remained silent. However, the suspect allegedly raped her for the past five years on several occasions.
Still, the woman remained silent. However, on November 28, he tried to molest her 20 years old daughter at around 9.30 pm. The girl told about it to her mother and she immediately lodged a complaint at the Kranti Chowk police station. The suspect has been arrested while PSI G P Sontakke is further investigating the case under the guidance of PI Darade.
Dr Pradeep Jaibahar is a health officer in the zilla parishad (ZP). A few years back anti-corruption bureau had arrested him in a bribery case. He was suspended for a year but later resumed the service.
