Gold Price on April 15, 2026: Check Rates of Yellow, Silver Metals on Bengali New Year

Prices of gold and silver witnessed mixed trends on the Bengali New Year, April 15, on the Multi-Commodity Exchange of India (MCEI). While gold saw a slight decline, silver prices moved higher during the day on Wednesday.

On Bengali New Year, gold prices in the domestic commodity market stood at Rs 1,54,766 per 10 grams, while silver was priced at Rs 2,55,156 per kg. Meanwhile, both metals showed a strong upward trend in the global market on COMEX earlier in the day.

Gold and silver had touched record highs on January 29, when gold reached Rs 1,80,000 per 10 grams and silver Rs 4,20,000 per kg. Since then, gold has declined by Rs 25,234, while silver is down by Rs 1,64,844 from its peak.

In the previous MCX session, gold had closed at Rs 1,54,868 per 10 grams, while silver settled at Rs 2,52,499 per kg. Compared to the last close, gold prices edged lower, while silver recorded gains.

City-Wise Gold and Silver Prices

Delhi: 24-carat gold is priced at Rs 1,54,090 per 10 grams, 22-carat at Rs 1,41,260 and 18-carat at Rs 1,15,610. Silver stands at Rs 2,54,900 per kg.

Mumbai: 24-carat gold is at Rs 1,53,940 per 10 grams, 22-carat at Rs 1,41,110 and 18-carat at Rs 1,15,460. Silver is priced at Rs 2,54,900 per kg.

Chennai: 24-carat gold is Rs 1,55,140 per 10 grams, 22-carat Rs 1,42,210 and 18-carat Rs 1,18,660. Silver has risen to Rs 2,65,100 per kg.

Kolkata: 24-carat gold is Rs 1,53,940 per 10 grams, 22-carat Rs 1,41,110 and 18-carat Rs 1,15,460. Silver is at Rs 2,54,900 per kg.

Overall, the market reflected a cautious trend, with gold witnessing mild correction while silver gained amid global cues.
