Nirmala Sitharaman: Economic reforms showing impact

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Friday that the economy has started to show some improvement, the results of which have started showing and investment in the country is increasing.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Friday that the economy has started to show some improvement, the results of which have started showing and investment in the country is increasing. The finance minister said this during the press conference on the country's economic condition. During which the Chief Economic Advisor of the Ministry of Finance, Krishnamurthy Subramaniam, said to boost the economy 66 percent of the capital expenditure of Rs 3.38 lakh crore has been used.

During the conference, Revenue Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey said that till November 3, the Income Tax refunds of Rs 33,000 crore were issued by the Finance Ministry, while in 2018-19 there was a refund of Rs 36,000 crore. He said that to increase the demand in the economy, tax refunds of Rs 1.57 lakh crore have been made so far this year, which last year was Rs 1.23 lakh crore.
