Noida (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 25 : The annual sports extravaganza, Sangathan, organised by Amity University, witnessed an exhilarating display of talent and sportsmanship this year. The month-long grand spectacle event featured indoor and outdoor sports in various categories. As Sangathan is one of the most anticipated events of the university, it drew participation from all the departments and united them in the spirit of sports, joy, and celebration. The competitions were held on different campuses of Amity University, located in various cities across India.

From all the events on account, the fiercely contested basketball competition at the Noida campus was undoubtedly the showstopper. Following a series of exciting qualifying matches, each side was set up against four other teams. The intense battle on the court, audience support, and exceptional talent of the players were a visual treat. The RICS School of Built Environment led the men's basketball tournament, securing the shining Golden Trophy and scoring a whopping 68 points against 57 points in the finale. Following the final result, there was a rush of joy on the pitch, with students cheering and praising the winners.

Kadamban C. A. M., a student of MBA Construction Project Management and the captain of RICS SBE's victorious basketball team, spoke on behalf of his team, saying, "We are incredibly proud of our team's performance in Sangathan this year. The dedication, hard work, and unity displayed by each member were truly exceptional. We would also like to thank all the supporters who gave us the drive towards our victory". The remarkable performances of team RICS SBE throughout the tournament are a testament to excellence in sportsmanship and athletic achievement.

RICS SBE has a reputation for breaking down barriers and establishing a progressive narrative in the education system. This victory demonstrates that integrating sports into the educational curriculum has no negative effect on student academic performance. In fact, the lessons learned from these activities eventually help students in their professional development.

Elaborating on this idea, the sports captain of RICS SBE, Debadatta Naik, also stated that "victory doesn't come effortlessly; it was the constant effort of our dedicated team and support from teachers and students that allowed us to lift the golden cup today. We hope it's just the beginning, and we look forward to more such victories in the future."

Events like Sangathan not only provides a platform for friendly competition but also fosters a sense of unity and sportsmanship among participants. It's an incredible celebration of cultural diversity, sportsmanship, and team spirit. Even though the event is over in a month, its impact lasts much longer.
