The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE will conduct a live trading session on Saturday (May 18). Both equity, equity derivatives, and futures and options markets will be open on Saturday.
Trading on Saturday will be conducted in two parts. The first half of the May 18 session will be on the primary site from 9:15 am to 10 am and the second half of disaster recovery (DRS) from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. It will be a transition from primary to DRS.
This is part of BSE and NSE's compliance plan with SEBI's framework for a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to test disaster preparedness in case of any major disruptions. During special trading session there will be an intraday switch to the DR site from the primary (PR) site.
As per the BSE and NSE circulars, "Members are requested to note that Exchange shall be conducting special live trading session with intra-day switchover from Primary site to Disaster Recovery site on Saturday, May 18, 2024 in Equity and Equity Derivatives segments."
