"The petrol and diesel variants of the BS-6 complaint Innova Crysta and Touring Sport are priced between Rs 15 and Rs 24 lakh," said the city-based Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) in a statement here.

"The new variants with manual and automatic transmission options will be rolled out in February across the country where BS-6 fuel is available," said the statement.

The company has sold around 9 lakh units of Innova over the last 15 years since its launch in 2005 across the country.

"Vehicle stability control, hill assist control (HAC) and emergency brake signal are standardised in all grades of the new model," said Toyota's 22-year-old Indian subsidiary TMC.

Rolled out in 2016, the Crysta model has about 40 per cent market share in the MPV segment, with 2,70,000 units sold across the country over the last 3 years.

"The Indian government, auto industry and oil sector have worked together to comply with the cleaner BS-6 emission norms, which limits the particulate matter (PM) to 2.5 irrespective of the car size and the fuel (petrol, diesel or CNG) used," said TKM Vice-President (sales) Naveen Soni on the occasion.

As a parent company, Tokyo-based Toyota Motor Corp has 89 per cent equity stake in TKM, with 11 per cent held by Kirloskar Systems Ltd's Vikram S. Kirloskar.

The company has about 6,000 employees with two production plants at Bidadi in Ramangaram, having 3.1-lakh units per annum combined capacity.

Bidadi is about 40 km southwest of Bengaluru on the Mysuru state highway.
