Bangladesh National Cricket Team vs Pakistan National Cricket Team Match: Hasan Ali suffered an injury scare and was forced to leave the field during the opening day of the second Test between the Bangladesh and the Pakistan at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The incident occurred in the eighth over of Bangladesh’s innings after Pakistan captain Shan Masood won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Hasan was bowling to debutant opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim when the batter chipped a short-of-length delivery back towards the bowler. Hasan attempted a forward diving catch but landed awkwardly on the ground and appeared dazed after the fall.
Pakistan’s medical staff rushed onto the field immediately as the fast bowler remained down near the pitch. A stretcher was later brought onto the field to take Hasan off, while Salman Ali Agha completed the remainder of the over.
However, Pakistan’s worries eased shortly after as Hasan returned to the field at the start of the 16th over. He later resumed bowling in the 19th over, signalling that the injury was not as serious as initially feared.
