IPL 2026, CSK vs LSG Today Match: Josh Inglis smashed a sensational 85 off just 33 balls as Lucknow Super Giants posted 203 for eight against Chennai Super Kings in their IPL 2026 clash at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday.

Despite Inglis’ explosive innings, Chennai Super Kings produced an impressive comeback with the ball after enduring a brutal start in the powerplay. Jamie Overton starred with figures of 3/36, while Shahbaz Ahmed’s unbeaten 43 off 25 balls helped LSG finish strongly after a middle-order collapse.

Asked to bat first, Lucknow Super Giants came out aggressively, with Inglis taking complete control of the innings from the outset. The Australian wicketkeeper-batter hammered a 17-ball half-century and dominated the CSK bowlers with fearless strokeplay.

Inglis and Mitchell Marsh added quick runs during the powerplay as LSG raced to 77 without loss in five overs. Marsh scored 10 before falling to Anshul Kamboj, but the scoring rate remained high as Inglis continued his assault.

Akeal Hosein, Mukesh Choudhary and Kamboj all came under pressure as Inglis repeatedly found the boundary. Lucknow reached 91 for one at the end of the powerplay with the run rate soaring above 15 an over.

CSK eventually pulled things back through Noor Ahmad and Overton. Noor dismissed Nicholas Pooran for one with a googly before Overton removed Inglis and skipper Rishabh Pant in quick succession.

Inglis’ entertaining knock included 10 fours and six sixes before he edged a scoop shot behind to Sanju Samson. Pant’s struggles with the bat continued as he managed 15 off 12 balls before losing his wicket to Overton.

Aiden Markram was run out for 10 by Dewald Brevis as LSG slipped to 130 for five in the 13th over.

Shahbaz Ahmed and Himmat Singh then steadied the innings with a valuable 50-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Himmat scored 17, while Shahbaz remained unbeaten on 43 to push Lucknow past the 200-run mark.
