The widely circulated clip appears to show Rabada holding a cigarette while wearing Gujarat Titans training gear. In the footage, teammate Rashid Khan and members of the coaching staff are seen approaching him, with the situation appearing tense. However, the authenticity of the video and the exact timing of the incident could not be independently verified. The franchise has not issued an official statement regarding the viral video.

The development comes days after Gujarat Titans suffered a 99-run defeat to Mumbai Indians on April 20 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, where they were bowled out for 100 while chasing 200.

Despite the off-field attention, Rabada has been a key performer for Gujarat this season. He has taken 10 wickets in six matches, including figures of 3 for 29 against Kolkata Knight Riders and 3 for 33 against Mumbai Indians. He has also led the powerplay wicket charts with seven scalps in the opening overs.

Gujarat Titans are currently placed sixth in the standings with three wins and three losses, and a net run rate of -0.821. The side, led by Shubman Gill, had earlier recovered from two initial defeats with three consecutive wins before the loss to Mumbai.
