KKR lost their first wicket at 49, with Finn Allen scoring 29 off 13 balls before being dismissed by Pat Cummins. Following that, Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi added a crucial partnership to steady the innings.
Rahane scored 43 off 36 balls, while Raghuvanshi led the chase with 59 off 47 deliveries. Rinku Singh and Cameron Green contributed 22 and 3 runs respectively to finish the game.
For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Cummins, Shivang Kumar and Hussain Sakib picked up one wicket each.
Earlier, Travis Head top-scored for SRH with 61 off 28 balls, hitting nine fours and three sixes. Ishan Kishan supported him with 42 off 29 balls. Contributions from Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen and Cummins were limited.
KKR bowlers were led by Varun Chakravarthy, who picked up three wickets, while Sunil Narine and Kartik Tyagi took two wickets each.
The win strengthens KKR’s position in the points table, while SRH suffered a setback in their campaign.
