Mumbai Indians vs Lucknow Super Giants Standings IPL 2026: Mumbai Indians pulled off a high-scoring chase to defeat Lucknow Super Giants by six wickets in Match 47 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday, May 4, 2026. Chasing a target of 229, Mumbai Indians reached the total with eight balls to spare, registering their third win of the season.

Openers Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma laid the foundation with a 143-run partnership. Rickelton scored 83 off 32 balls, hitting six fours and eight sixes, while Rohit made 84 off 44 deliveries, including six fours and seven sixes.

After their dismissals, Mumbai lost a couple of quick wickets, with Tilak Varma scoring 11 and Suryakumar Yadav adding 12.

The chase was completed by Naman Dhir and Will Jacks, with Jacks sealing the win with a six as Mumbai crossed the target in the final stages of the innings.

Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants posted 228/5 after being asked to bat first. Nicholas Pooran top-scored with 63, while Mitchell Marsh made 44. Aiden Markram contributed 31, and Himmat Singh added 40.

Despite a strong batting effort, Lucknow’s bowlers were unable to defend the total as Mumbai completed one of the highest successful chases of the season.

The result keeps Mumbai Indians’ campaign alive, while Lucknow Super Giants remain under pressure after another defeat.
