MI vs SRH IPL 2026: Mumbai Indians opener Ryan Rickelton scored a blistering century against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 41 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
The left-hander anchored the innings with a 44-ball hundred, the fastest century for Mumbai Indians in IPL history. He surpassed the previous record jointly held by Sanath Jayasuriya and Tilak Varma, who had both reached the milestone in 45 balls.
Rickelton provided a strong start for Mumbai, sharing a 93-run opening partnership with Will Jacks. He then added 55 runs with Naman Dhir for the third wicket to rebuild the innings after a brief middle-order setback.
After a cautious start, Rickelton accelerated quickly, taking on the bowlers with aggressive strokeplay. He struck Praful Hinge for a six early in the innings and later attacked Pat Cummins and Sakib Hussain as Mumbai posted 78 runs in the powerplay.
Rickelton reached his century in the 15th over, maintaining control of the innings despite wickets falling at the other end.
The knock also made him the ninth Mumbai Indians batter to score a century in the IPL, joining the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Quinton de Kock.
His innings provided much-needed momentum for Mumbai Indians as they looked to post a competitive total against an in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad side.
