The UAE leg of the IPL 2021 could witness crowds in the stands subject to approval. The UAE government policy is to allow the fans for the sporting events with a condition that they’re vaccinated. “The vaccinated fans can be allowed up to 50 per cent of the [stadium] capacity,” a UAE board official said according to Cricbuzz. Meanwhile, the top brass of the BCCI has left for Dubai to finalise the required arrangements with the UAE government and the ECB.

Meanwhile, the office-bearers of the BCCI have left for Dubai to finalise arrangements with the ECB as well as the UAE government. Board secretary Jay Shah, treasurer Arun Singh Dhumal, vice-president Rajeev Shukla and joint secretary Jayesh George are understood to have landed in Dubai on Monday (May 31).It has been learnt that special permission was required to be obtained for the arrival of the BCCI delegation. In view of the UAE government's travel restrictions to and from India, the ECB officials have had to rush to the UAE government to obtain permission for the landing of the office-bearers, who are understood to have flown by a charter. Speculations are also rife that the tournament is likely to be played from September 19 to October 10.
