One of India's biggest superstar Amitabh Bachchan is an avid social media user and Big B is known to share updates with his fans through Twitter and Facebook. However Bachchan senior has also landed in trouble a number of times due to his social media posts. It is due to this reason an online petition has been initiated requesting  WhatsApp to be disabled from the superstar's phone. It has received support from 1300 people. The description for the petition reads that the megastar has been falling prey to fake news and this move has been started to restore his dignity.

In a recent post from the actor he said homeopathic medicine may be the cure to coronavirus. He also said he hopes that India will lead the world in finding a treatment for the ongoing pandemic. The post outraged many who requested the actor to stop spreading fake news without any clear evidence. On the other hand, he the megastar has been at the forefront in spreading awareness about the coronavirus pandemic as well. Recently, Amitabh took to his Twitter handle to hail the efforts and sacrifices of the frontline COVID warriors with a video message.
