Amid Coronavirus lockdown across the country, all businesses have been impacted. Among them, theatres are the worst affected. After pledging to donate Rs 25 crore towards PM CARES fun, the actor has now extended help to theatres. According to a news portal, a few days back Akki called up a theatre owner and offered financial assistance as they are finding it difficult to sustain amid the lockdown. While praising Akki’s offer of help, the theatre owner also stated that they have managed to collect funds for a salaries to pay their staff for this month.

Akshay has been doing his bit to raise awareness among people to stay home amid lockdown. From releasing an angry video on Instagram to starring in a common music video with other Bollywood actors, Akshay has been doing his bit to make fan aware about COVID-19. On the work front, Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’ was scheduled to hit the screens in March, but the lockdown forced the film to postpone. Post lockdown, the makers of ‘Sooryavanshi’ are expected to announce a new release date. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the cop drama features entertaining cameos by Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh.
