Maharashtra BJP leader Nitesh Rane had earlier written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah requesting him for security for Rohan Rai, the fiance of Disha Salian, the former celebrity manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Rane has alleged in the letter that Rai might be scared to return Mumbai due to pressure from “influential people” and his statement could be crucial in unravelling the mystery of Salian and Rajput’s death. Now as per a report by Republic TV, Home Minister Amit Shah has acknowledged he letter sent by BJP MLA Nitesh Rane seeking protection for Disha Salian's fiance Rohan Rai. The news report by Republic TV states that Amit Shah has now responded back to BJP MLA Nitesh Rane's letter stating that he will launch an inquiry and action will be taken on the basis of the findings of the inquiry. The news report states that Disha Salian's death has been termed as a suicide by Mumbai police. Nitesh Rane reportedly states that Rohan Rai can shed light on the details of what went down on the day Disha Salian died. "I received your letter dated September 16, 2020, in which you have requested security to be given to Mr. Rohan Rai. Action will be taken after inquiry & in accordance with the findings of the case," Amit Shah responded.
"Rohan is very scared of some powerful people. I spoke to him and discovered that due to some pressure, he is not able to disclose information about the mysterious circumstances which led to Disha's death. Rohan needs assurance and security so that he can shed light on the mystery which is also linked with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput," said Rane, a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and son of former Chief Minister Narayan Rane. Disha had died after falling from the 14th floor of the building, with the Mumbai police ruling it as suicide. Just a week later Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra suburb. Rane drew attention towards the delay of 20-25 minutes by Rohan in reaching the spot to highlight his suspicious behaviour. Raising questions on Disha Salian’s fiance Rohan Rai disappearance since her death on June 8, the BJP MLA in an interview with Republic Bharat claimed that Disha’s fiance knows the ‘truth about June 8’ and is allegedly in hiding.
