Legendry singer Asha Bhosle passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai's Bridge candy hospital on Sunday April 12, 2026. Her sudden demise came as a huge shock for everyone. Many celebs and big stars shared memory and mourn singer's death. Big B Amitab Bachchan, on Monday wrote a post and mourned her death.
"Sorrow and grief an entire era an incredible a phenominal, astounding, prodigious , presence lost yesterday the iconic, legendary Asha Bhosle ji , has left us In immense grief. Her versatility in giving life to every song she gave voice to .. gone to the heavens .. and has left us an entire encyclopedia of eternal music .. The body has left us .. but her soul shall remain forever with us .Her voice - the soul, shall ever be immortalised. In immense grief ."
Asha Bhosle, the iconic singer of numerous songs for Amitabh Bachchan movies, including "Yeh Mera Dil" from Don and "Do Lafzon Ki Hai Dil Ki Kahani" from The Great Gambler, passed away on Saturday evening due to multi-organ failure following a cardiac arrest, after being admitted to the hospital for extreme exhaustion and a chest infection. Her funeral will be held at the Shivaji Park crematorium in Dadar around 4 pm, with many celebrities expected to pay their respects.
