 Legendary actor Dilip Kumar, who is popularly known as the ‘King of Tragedy, bid the world good-bye at the age of 98. Reacting on the sad news, megastar Amitabh Bachchan said, Whenever the history of Indian Cinema will be written, it shall always be 'before Dilip Kumar, and after Dilip Kumar.' The two superstars came together in the 1982 hit film Shakti. The film was  was a gripping drama that revolved around the clash between an honest police officer and his 'corrupt' son.

"An institution has gone .. whenever the history of Indian Cinema will be written, it shall always be 'before Dilip Kumar, and after Dilip Kumar' .. My duas for peace of his soul and the strength to the family to bear this loss .. Deeply saddened, wrote Big B. Dilip Kumar was born as Yusuf Khan to Ayesha Begum and Lala Ghulam Sarwar Khan in 1922. In a career spanning over six decades, Dilip Kumar starred in iconic films including Jogan, Babul, Deedar, Daag, Insaniyat, Paigham and Mughal-e-Azam.Dilip Kumar has left behind his wife and yesteryear actor Saira Banu. Born 22 years apart, they had tied the knot in 1966. The couple do not have any children.
