Bollywood celebs Anushka Sharma and Vicky Kaushal applauded Mumbai's Mayor Kishori Pednekar after she donned the nurse uniform to motivate the healthcare workers. Anushka took to her Instagram story to laud Mayor Kishori Pednekar for her gesture. Even actor Vicky Kaushal was impressed with the Mayor's noble gesture.
Anushka wrote, “much respect ma’am.” On the other hand, Vicky wrote, “Salute.” The mayor didn’t just interact with nurses but also the second and third-year students of nursing to motivate them to join the fight against COVID 19. As per a report, she even mentioned that the best 4-5 nursing students will be awarded the Mayor Cup.
For the unversed, Pednekar worked as a nurse, giving the healing touch to patients in the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust Hospital in Uran, Raigad before plunging into politics. A former nurse turned politician, Pednekar (57) is a four-time Shiv Sena Corporation from G-South Ward which covers large parts of Worli.
