The official trailer of Chhorii 2 dropped on YouTube yesterday starring Nushrratt Bharuccha and Soha Ali Khan among others. Directed by Vishal Furia and produced by T-Series, Abundantia Entertainment and Psych, the film will premiere on Prime Video India on April 11. In an industry that often rewards the safe and familiar, Chhorii 2 dares to step into the shadows once more, exploring the eerie, unsettling depths of horror with a voice that is unmistakably female and fearless. But beyond the film itself, what stands out is the warm chorus of support from women who have, in their own lives, strayed from the well-trodden path to carve out unique spaces in their industries.
Women like Vidya Balan, Guneet Monga, Mrunal Thakur, Arati Kadav, Panchami Ghavri, Ahsaas Channa, Parul Gulati and Bhumi Pednekar have all carved unique spaces for themselves in their respective fields, challenging conventions and redefining success on their own terms. Their support for Chhorii 2 is more than just appreciation for a film, it’s representation of strong female narratives in cinema. Appreciating the support, Nushrratt Bharuccha, said, “Chhorii 2 is not just a film for me; it’s a testament to the strength and resilience of every woman who dares to step into the unknown and make it her own.
