The coronavirus threat is still very much persistent and with monsoon season looming large the COVID-19 situation is likely to worsen in the next few months.  The pandemic has brought everything to a stand still incudling films and television shoots. However, as India begins to slowly unlock themselves, after more than two months of the coronavirus lockdown, the entertainment industry is also gearing up to resume work. Meanwhile, Aatish actor, Shakti Kapoor, in his interview to ETimes, said his daughter Shraddha Kapoor won’t resume shooting immediately.

“I will not go out and work for now nor will I allow my daughter Shraddha to resume work. I don’t think the threat is gone. I feel the worst is yet to come. I won’t let my children out for now. I know work is important but not at the cost of one’s life. It will be very chaotic if people start shooting now. I tell industry people in our group that it is better to wait than pay hospital bills. It is still a very bad state of affairs outside.”

Maharashtra is one of the worst-affected states in India with more than 50,000 cases. Amid the rising cases, India has climbed to the 4th sport nations which is worst affected going past U.K. On the work front, Shraddha was last seen in Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 3 which was released during the pandemic and had to be discontinued due to the lockdown in March. The film opened to mixed reviews from critics.
