Dacoit Day 1 Box Office Collection: Here’s How Much Mrunal Thakur–Adivi Sesh Film Earned on Opening Day

Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur starrer film Dacoit took an decent start on box office. Film released 0n Friday, April 10, 2026 had a significant buzz on social media. As per the Sacnilk film collected Rs. 6.50 cr on its first day. Films Telugu version minted 5.60 cr and the Hindi version only collected Rs. 90 lakh.

Adivi's "Dacoit" underperformed compared to his previous lead role in "Hit: The Second Case," which opened at Rs. 6.40 crore (Telugu). "Dacoit" only managed Rs. 6.50 crore on its opening day, falling short despite a reported budget of Rs. 80–100 crore.

The film was expected to open above Rs. 10 crore, but hopes are now pinned on strong weekend performance due to competition from Dhurandhar and Dacoit.

During the trailer launch event, Mrunal Thakur revealed the reason behind giving a nod to the film, stating that the story highlights a different shade of love. “This love story is made for me. I have done simple love stories where there is love, dating, and everything. But in this, you will get to see another side - Saraswati’s side - where there is not just love,” she says and adds, “There’s a little bit of anger, revenge…love that is broken, has courage. So, not just Saraswati, but Hari as well.”

The film is equally loaded with high-octane action, and it’s also one of the reasons that excited Mrunal. “It’s a different kind of love story. I didn’t want to be monotonous because people get bored with seeing the same thing. Adding a little bit of action makes it fun, especially when someone who has never done action can drive an ambulance, pick up a gun, and kill. Then, why not?” she states.

Loaded with chase sequences, revenge tropes, heist and betrayal, Dacoit makes for a refreshing watch in the theatres, especially with Mrunal Thakur exploring the fine balance between romance and action.
