Dhurandhar 2 Release Date: Dhurandhar: The Revenge is set for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026, arriving just three months after the original film teased its sequel. The film is produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios and directed by Aditya Dhar.

Runtime and Certification

Dhurandhar: The Revenge has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film has a runtime of 229.6 minutes (3 hours, 49 minutes), making it 15 minutes longer than Dhurandhar, which had a runtime of 214.1 minutes (3 hours, 34 minutes). With this duration, the film becomes the eighth longest Indian feature film.

Release Date and Preview Shows

The film will release in cinemas on March 19, coinciding with Gudi Padwa, Ugadi and Eid al-Fitr. Paid preview shows will begin on the evening of March 18.

Pan-India Multilingual Release

Unlike the first installment, the sequel will release in five languages — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

Plot Overview

The sequel continues the story from the first installment, focusing on Ranveer Singh’s character, Hamza Ali Mazari. The narrative traces his transformation from Jaskirat Singh Rangi into an undercover operative infiltrating Pakistan’s criminal network, driven by a mission to avenge terror attacks.

Advance Bookings

According to the media reports, the film has recorded strong pre-booking numbers ahead of its release, with over 12.64 lakh tickets sold across India for more than 26,000 scheduled shows. Pre-release collections, including paid previews, have crossed Rs 40.58 crore domestically, while worldwide advance bookings are estimated at Rs 120 - Rs 130 crore. The strong early demand indicates the film is on track for a major opening weekend at the box office.

Cast and Crew

The film stars Ranveer Singh in a dual role as Hamza Ali Mazari and Jaskirat Singh Rangi.

The cast also includes Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor and Gaurav Gera. Akshaye Khanna appears in a flashback role, while Yami Gautam has a cameo appearance.

Theatre Response and Show Expansion

Cinema halls across India are increasing show counts, including late-night and post-midnight screenings, to accommodate the surge in demand. In Mumbai, the iconic Maratha Mandir theatre has adjusted its traditional programming schedule to fit the film’s extended runtime.

Prequel Performance

The original Dhurandhar emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025. According to the reports, it earned Rs 1,056.62 crore in India and Rs 293.03 crore overseas, taking its worldwide total to Rs 1,349.65 crore.

It is also the highest-grossing ‘A’-certified Indian film and the second highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.
