Farhan Akhtar Opens Up About Don 3 Controversy After Ranveer Singh Exit, "Nothing Can be Taken For Granted"

Don 3 film directed by Farhan Akhtar under Ritesh Siddhwani's banner Excel entertainment is facing multiple delay. Recently Ranveer Singh step back from the film following the project over creative difference, triggering a financial dispute.  Amid a reported dispute where Farhan and Ritesh sought ₹40 crore from the Producers Guild of India as compensation for Ranveer's sudden departure from Don 3, Farhan has addressed the issue.

Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, he stated, "What I've learned is to expect the unexpected. Nothing can be taken for granted until you actually have it on film." Farhan added that his journey has been incredible since Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity Zinta, Dimple Kapadia, Saif Ali Khan, and his partner Ritesh Sidhwani agreed to make the film. He said he's always prioritized working with people he admires, whether directing or acting, and embraces challenges as part of the process.

Ranveer has reportedly returned his ₹10 crore signing amount to Excel Entertainment and offered them a stake in his next film, tentatively titled Pralaay, to further compensate for the project's disruption. Details regarding the stake percentage remain undisclosed due to the fluid nature of Pralaay's budget and production timeline.

This gesture is viewed positively within the industry. Amidst the situation, Farhan unfollowed Ranveer on Instagram, though Singh continues to follow him. The two previously shared a close bond and starred together in the 2015 film Dil Dhadakne Do.
