Juhi Parmar decided to opt for  an eco-friendly Ganpati idol at home for this year's celebration. Sharing pictures of her creation on Instagram, Juhi wrote, “This year Ganpati is going to be celebrated very differently as there will be no guests visiting and the celebrations will be within the confines of our homes. And so we decided to make our own Ganpati idol. None of us are experts but the beauty is in love and devotion. There was a magical feeling by the end of it when we saw our Ganpatiji, everything just felt right! Ganpati Bappa Morya!

Bhumi has joined hands with sculptor and environment activist Dattadri from Maharashtra to spread the message. Dattadri specialises in making tree Ganpati idols with seeds planted inside the idol. The idol can be immersed in clay pots once the festivities are over. Actress Bhumi Pednekar says there are sustainable ways to celebrate the Ganpati festival and urged everyone to choose eco-friendly idols.
