South sensation Malavika Mohanan has steadily carved a niche for herself across industries, emerging as one of the most versatile and sought-after faces in Indian cinema today. From her early beginnings to delivering recent hits and sharing screen space with some of the biggest names, Malavika’s journey is nothing short of remarkable. Having worked alongside industry stalwarts like Prabhas, Mohanlal, Dulquer Salmaan, Dhanush, Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, she continues to solidify her position as a true pan-India performer.

One of the biggest milestones in her career came with Master, the blockbuster action drama alongside Thalapathy Vijay. The film went on to become a massive commercial success and Malavika received immense appreciation from audiences and critics alike for her performance, screen presence and chemistry with Vijay. Reflecting on one of her most memorable collaborations, Malavika opened up about her first interaction with Thalapathy Vijay on the sets of Master. What began as a professional meeting during an intense shoot day eventually blossomed into a warm friendship that she continues to cherish even today. “I met him for the first time on set and it was a very intense challenging scene that we had to do on that day as well. So I was completely wrapped up in my lines which I had received last minute. So I was trying to mug it up and it was more like a quick ‘Hi’ before getting into my own world. He is very quiet and very disciplined on set, very observant. He's completely tuned in. So that's my earliest memory of him and then he went on to of course become a very dear friend and he is super fun. He is somebody I can call up and reach out to and he gives you that access, which I think is very sweet because not everybody does that. So I really admire him for that.”

The actress further revealed how Vijay’s approachable and grounded personality left a lasting impression on her. Despite being one of the biggest superstars in the country and now the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, she admired the comfort and warmth he extends to people around him something she believes is rare in the industry. Malavika also fondly recalled how she still jokes with him about missing the opportunity to dance alongside him in Master, considering his legendary dance performances and fan-favourite moves over the years. “I did a film with Thalapathy Vijay, Master, and he's so well known for his dancing. So I keep telling him also that, ‘Hey, I missed out on a chance to dance with you.’ So, he laughs about it too.”

On the work front, Malavika shows no signs of slowing down. She will next be seen in Sardar 2 alongside Karthi, and Pocket Novel with Vijay Sethupathi, further strengthening her dynamic presence across industries.
